MAVENIR SYSTEMS LAUNCHES INDUSTRY FIRST IMS CENTRALIZED SERVICES SOLUTION
(Richardson, Texas and Barcelona, Spain – February 11, 2008) – The industry’s first standards-based IMS Centralized Services (ICS) solution was introduced to the market today by Mavenir Systems, an innovative network technology company, which launched its mOne™ convergence gateway at 3GSM last year. The latest software release of mOne will incorporate ICS compliant functionalities, which have been validated by several tier 1 carriers globally.
ICS, being defined in collaboration by 3GPP members in the Technical Specification 23.292, enables service providers to deliver IMS services directly to 2G and 3G-CS mobile devices. This eliminates the need for forced upgrade of 3 Billion mobile devices worldwide. End users get access to richer convergence services and a consistent user experience across all devices. Mavenir’ ICS solution also enables operators to deploy flexible femto-zone services with domain selection across traditional 2G/3G and IMS network architectures.
